Objective

Support the Regional Operations Lead for Global Banking and Markets Back Office towards the Pacific Alliance Transformation Program to stakeholder and workstream management and by providing subject matter expertise on key Back Office activities such as clearing, settlements, confirmations, and collateral management among others. 
Responsabilities

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in products and topics such as:

Fixed Income, FX, Equities, Derivatives, Cash Management (Treasury Operations), Collateral Management. Clearing transactions in Domestic and Foreign market. Custody Agent relationship for Cash and Securities for both onshore and offshore accounts. Settlements in multiple currencies via SWIFT, Checks Account and Local Settlement Method. Settlement limit monitoring. Confirmation for ISDA and Local contracts. Collateral Management: issuing margin calls, dispute resolution, portfolio reconciliation, post, pledge. Reconciliation to detect on time any discrepancy: Trading Activity, Settlements, FoBo, Intersystem, Nostro Vostro Accounting, etc. Key Performance Indicators Monitoring. Regulatory Reports. Counterparty Static data, SSI’s & SDI’s.

  • Review End-to-End trade process flow focusing on:

Increase STP (straight-through-processing) with direct communication/messaging between systems/platforms.

  • Identify gaps Cross-Asset Class in matters under their scope, and review internal policies to update them with changes in roles, processes, systems and/or tools.

  • Support in the redefinition of the control framework, ensuring right levels of automated controls are applied at certain points of the trade flow to minimize Operational Risks.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or Actuary.
More than 4 years experience in Middle office.
Proficiency in Spanish and English.
