Leadership role to lead alignment to Scotiabank technology standards and operational processes; builds and nurtures solid relationships with all business partners and technical groups
Management of GTS services offered to the country, providing a single point of accountability and local engagement (country-level) for all GTS products and services.
Deep and broad understanding of the country ecosystems, infrastructure, and operational conditions.
Budget planning for new GTS initiatives, Infrastructure validation and input for the elaboration of local Business Cases, for each fiscal year.
Focal point in the country for delivery of RFS (follow up, approvals, status notification) and GTS consumption management.
Infrastructure validation and input for the elaboration of local Business Cases.
Invites and participates in Technology Project Review and Operational Readiness and participates in other local technology committees including operational risk, IT risk, information security; for Change Management: Participates in local CAB andPre-Cab, presents and advocates for RFCs in the country
Deliver monthly GTS status reporting to the country CIO and his team in a session where the GTS LATAM leadership participates. It covers key indicators, trends and highlights on Service Management, GNS, End User, Financials, Audit, and all aspects of the infrastructure operations.
Responsible for providing induction to the position to each new contributor to the team, (whether for new income, promotion or side change), providing general information about the GFSBI, (vision, mission and culture) as well as explaining its job description, key roles and objectives in order for the collaborator to place their role within the GFSBI by strengthening their sense of belonging and reduce the time of the learning curve.
Provide local management for DRP, BCP, and local services.
In conjunction with Solutions Engineering and Delivery management teams, “own” technology solutions and ensure that they meet operational needs.Work alongside these teams to monitor the implementation progress, provide technical oversight, intervene where necessary when projects challenges are encountered, and proactively seek to manage these challenges by providing technical leadership.
University degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 8 years experience in IT service delivery senior leadership roles.
Financial services and, specifically, banking experience is highly desired.
To be effective a thorough knowledge of the Bank’s formal and informal organization structure is imperative
