Purpose

Leads and oversees GTS Infrastructure team globally ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities
  • As a Technical Specialist, the incumbent is responsible for a daily Unix infrastructure services
    operational support, including but not limited to providing technical support, handling user queries and coordinating process enhancement and automation with other teams.
  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Serves as a technical specialist in the area of system administration for complex operating systems.
  • Provide automation solutions for the current Unix patching and server build process.
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
  • Design and implement new installation, configuration and patching functions that will make a hands-off environment.
  • Participate in weekly Change Management CAB meetings and plan & schedule weekend patching.
  • Flexible in availability with regards to working hours and days scheduled required. Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well weekend maintenance
  • Work collaboration with other internal teams, external partners and vendors to ensure all aspects of IT projects and support requests are met.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Education / Experience
  • A recognized degree in engineering, computer science, math or related discipline or existing. professional experience.
  • 3+ years technical work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives.
  • Passionate about adapting new technologies to accelerate business value delivery.
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment.
