Purpose of the position:

Drive the expansion of our digital footprint to deepen digital engagement in existing and new channels, grow digital sales at full scale and lead the front to back digital transformation of the Retail Banking business.

A successful candidate will be a strategic, results-driven leader who is passionate about designing best-in-class digital experiences and staying at the forefront of cutting-edge technology in the banking space.

What we expect from you?

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, Business Administration.

- Minimum 10 years of product management or development experience.

- Proven knowledge of digital and experience deploying digital solutions

- Knowledge in digital channel.

- Knowledge of online, mobile and wearable elements and operating environments (models; technologies; KPI’s/metrics), preferably in a retail sales and service setting.

- Familiar with human-centered design, understanding of the methodology behind creating amazing user workflows

- Proven experience leading cross functional projects

- Knowledge of emerging digital trends and best practices in other verticals.

- Languages:Fluency in English.




What challenges will you face?

- Leads the vision, roadmap y backlog management of all customer-facing Digital Platforms (mobile banking, home banking) and Digital Payments initiatives in the bank. Prioritizing new features and improvements that generates business value, while matching the strategy and long-term vision.

- Formulates, leads and directs the development of initiatives designed to increase Digital Sales, Adoption, Engagement, and Customer Satisfaction in the channels in support of the Retail Banking strategy.

- Leads the roadmap definition and execution of project OneBank: front-to-back transformation of all Retail Banking engagement model through new processes and technology.

- End to end responsibility over all Digital Sales for Retail Banking products, covering all existing digital channels: authenticated home banking website, mobile banking app, .com website.

- Constantly and sustainably partners with key stakeholders at a peer level, at VP and SVP levels. Aligns business and product strategy with Retail Banking leaders and coordinates with Risk and Internal Control divisions to ensure all solutions are safe and compliant.

- Establish and maintain industry-leading standards for operational and business excellence, consistent and in keeping with industry best practices and Bank Standards (e.g. service standards, audit, compliance, regulatory, operational risk.

- Responsible for leading the relationship and coordination with suppliers on the fronts under his responsibility.

- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

-Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
